Kyowa offers a specialist range of high-temperature strain gauges for accurate strain measurement in demanding thermal environments, with solutions covering temperatures from around 250°C up to 650°C.
The KFHB series is designed for measurements up to 250°C, using a heat-resistant polyimide backing and NiCr alloy foil to provide low thermal output and good temperature characteristics. The gauges are available in uniaxial and triaxial configurations, with different gauge lengths and resistance options.
For higher-temperature applications, the KFU series provides measurement capability up to 350°C. It combines a highly heat-resistant polyimide base with NiCr alloy foil and is available in uniaxial, biaxial and triaxial configurations.
For extreme-temperature applications, Kyowa’s KHCM encapsulated gauges can operate up to 650°C. These gauges feature a hermetically sealed construction with a heat-resistant alloy sensing element and metal base, making them suitable for severe environments where conventional bonded foil gauges may not be appropriate.
